VPI Rénopass Chaux Clair – Lime Render Body for Renovation (25kg)

Rénopass Chaux Clair is a natural white lime render body specifically developed for the renovation and restoration of old masonry. Designed to respect traditional building materials, it is ideal for heritage projects and refurbishment work where breathability and compatibility are essential.

Formulated with selected mineral fillers, lime and small quantities of hydraulic binders and additives, Rénopass Chaux Clair offers a balanced combination of workability, durability and vapour permeability. It can be applied manually or by spray and is suitable for both interior and exterior walls.

Consumption

• Approx. 15–16 kg/m² per cm of thickness

Suitable Substrates

• New masonry (RT1, RT2 or RT3)

• Terracotta bricks, including monomur bricks

• Lightweight or common aggregate concrete blocks

• Old masonry of hollowing types: stone, brick, loam, adobe, cob, clinker

• Masonry rendered with a sub-render of compressive strength ≥ CS II

Not Suitable For

• Very weak mechanical strength renders (pure lime)

• Surfaces treated with water repellents

• Plaster-based renders

• Organic coatings (paint, TPC, TMC, waterproofing)

• Horizontal or in-ground external parts

Application Conditions

• Apply between +5°C and +30°C

• Do not apply to frozen substrates or where there is risk of freezing after application

Mixing & Preparation

• Mix in a batch or concrete mixer

• Water ratio: approx. 4.5–5 litres per 25kg bag

• Mixing time: approx. 5 minutes (maintain consistency between batches)

Working Times (at +20°C)

• Working life: approx. 1 hour

• Minimum 2 days between base coat and render body

• 12 hours before application of Rénopass Chaux GF or GM (for 12–15mm thickness)

• 4–7 days before finishing for 15–30mm thickness

Packaging & Storage

• Supplied in 25kg bags (48 bags per pallet)

• 18-month shelf life in unopened original packaging
